Our founder

Greg Turner is the son of two successful small business owners. Following in his parents footsteps, Greg is a serial entrepreneur who graduated as one of the top of his class from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He created Prosperity Payments to help business, churches, and non-profits not just survive, but thrive. He has used his technology background and payments knowledge to become a source of truth and prosperity for Michigan businesses.

His story

While looking for a way to help his mom's growing business cut costs, Greg discovered her business was getting crushed by processing fees. He took it upon himself to discover how he could eliminate the exorbitant costs she was paying. He uncovered her business was getting gouged by various types of hidden processing fees.

He was horrified to find out this was the standard practice for payment processors across the country, and sought out to be a merchant advocate and source of truth for entrepreneurs like his mother. He learned the industry and removed her junk fees himself reducing her processing costs by over 4%.

Now, Greg is on a mission to use his payments knowledge and operator experience to help merchants of all kinds fight back against the financial institutions and greedy processors that aim to steal from them.

Inspiration for the Health and Prosperity™ Program

When Greg was 13 years old, he broke his neck in a hockey game and became instantly paralyzed from the neck down. Although he battled relentlessly for over a decade to recover and regain full bodily function, he encountered countless medical bills that burdened himself and his family along the way. He learned from first hand experience that the only industry more greedy and mismanaged than the payment space was the American healthcare system.

Before starting Prosperity, Greg worked for numerous innovate healthcare companies working to expand access to affordable and quality care. He wanted to make sure no one was being taken advantage of by the system like he was, so he got his health insurance license and teamed up with one of the nation's top health insurance brokerages to create the Health and Prosperity Program as a way to help employers provide high-quality, low cost personalized health and wellness care alongside the lowest processing costs.

Passion for Helping Churches Succeed

After his paralysis, Greg had to grapple with a new way of life and a complete loss of identity at a very early age. It took many years of suffering and wrestling with God to make sense of everything, but eventually he realized God blessed him with adversity to be able to help others and he found his new identity in Christ.

As he grew in his faith, he began to feel especially called to use his professional experience and background to grow God's kingdom. This is why he researched and experimented with countless Church management and giving solutions and ultimately partnered with the one he knew would help churches and non-profits the most.
